Developing Effective Compliance Management Systems in China
One of the cornerstones of President Xi Jinping's administration is cracking down on corruption. This anti-corruption effort throughout China has exposed a business culture in both the public and private sectors that is plagued with fraud. At the same time, new laws and regulations are creating fresh demands on corporate compliance programs. In this environment, companies are continuing to develop, implement and execute sound anti-bribery programs within their organizations.
The US-China Business Council (USCBC) is pleased to invite you to an afternoon briefing on the changing regulations relating to corporate compliance and how companies are developing effective management systems in China. Tim Klatte, Partner, Forensic Advisory Services at Grant Thornton China will examine how ISO standards are being implemented in compliance management systems in China. Susan Munro, Partner at Steptoe & Johnson LLP will share best practices from the 15 years she has spent advising multinationals on compliance issues. The panel will be moderated by Patrick Lozada, co-author of USCBC's recent report, "Managing Anti-bribery Compliance in China."
